This park is a really nice place for couples and/or families with small children. The daily rate is $4.00 a day and $8.00 a night per person, tenting is allowed but this park is more for seasonal camping. There is a bingo hall where bingo is played every saturday night and on long weekends saturday night and sunday night. On long weekends there is an adult dance, beer and liquor tickets are available for purchase at the dance.
There is a swimming pool with both a deep end and shallow end however there is no lifegaurd. Children under the age of 12 must be with an adult over the age of 16. There is a playground with swings for both kids and babies , tedder todders and a twisty slide. The park is located at lake side but there is no swimming in the lake as it is to hard for the park supervisor to keep clean, however there is a beach just inside the town of Acton.
The campground does have facilities with running water, and showers. Showers cost 25 cents for 5 mins, always a good idea to bring an extra couple quarters just in case, nobody likes the water cut off when you still have shampoo in your hair,
Their laundry facilities are very affordable and they work just fine. In the summertime, starting in July, Smallwood acres sets up fun things for kids like a hay wagon for 'Christmas in July santa rides' on the wagon with the children and the wagon will pick up your kids right in front of your site if they didnt get on by the pool. They also get dropped off down at the pool when the ride is over. Also Halloween in August kids may go to all the trailers in the park and do some trick or treating as well as a costume contest where the children will be judged for best costume. On top of all that they hold a kids day twice a season, one at the begining of summer so the kids can win fun summer stuff and one before schoool starts where the kids win cool school stuff to start the year with ,
