Ponderosa Park Resort is outdoor living with a Country and Western flavor. A guitar-shaped, indoor swimming pool and restaurant add to this wonderful getaway. There are also a variety of activities available in the Akron, Canton and Youngstown areas. For example, the Football Hall of Fame in Canton is a must for all who visit the area. Nearby Cleveland is the home of the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame, located on the shores of Lake Erie, a spectacular destination in itself.

This is one of the RPI Campgrounds which is stuck somewhere in the 70s. It appears they used to be a large venue for country music shows but when we arrived there was nothing much going on at all. No leaflets showing you the way to your site and we had to drive some distance to the back of the campground through some very thick trees and foliage to our site which was basically in the middle of a field, only water and 30 amp electric. The fact that is was raining made it seem worse I guess but there was little on the site we were supposed to be in so we moved to another, still pretty muddy. Hardly anyone in this part of the campground and most of the ones at the front looked as though they had been there since the early 70s. Not sure if we hit them at a bad time or not but the people were very friendly and as it was only for one night it was not really a problem to us. Plenty space to walk the dog!
